This Privacy Policy describes how BrixaConnect ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the BrixaConnect mobile application (the "App"). The App helps construction and project teams document site progress with photos and videos.
1. Who we are

2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the App, we may process the following:
- Photos and videos you create or select — captured with the camera or chosen from your device photo library to attach to project/site progress records.
- Audio in videos — when you record video with sound, the device microphone is used only for that recording.
- Project and site information — such as project names, locations, and progress notes you enter in the App.
- Device permissions status — whether you have granted or denied access to the camera, photo library, or microphone (handled by your operating system).
We do not require you to create an account to use core features shown in the current App version. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
3. Device permissions
The App requests access only when needed for features you use:
- Camera — to take photos and record videos of site progress.
- Photo library / gallery — to select existing images to attach to projects.
- Microphone — to record audio when you capture video with sound (up to 3 minutes per clip in the App).
You can deny any permission in your device settings; denied permissions may limit related features but will not block unrelated parts of the App. Permissions are requested through your device's standard system dialogs.
4. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Display and manage site progress media within your projects;
- Let you preview, review, and attach media before saving it to a project;
- Improve reliability and security of the App;
- Respond to support requests if you contact us.
We do not use your camera, microphone, or photo library in the background when you are not actively using those features.
5. Storage and sharing
Media and project data may be stored on your device and, when you use connected services, transmitted to servers operated by us or our service providers to sync or back up your work. We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information only:
- With service providers who help us host, secure, or operate the App (under confidentiality obligations);
- When required by law or to protect rights, safety, or security;
- With your direction (for example, when you share a project link or export).
Opening map links (for example, to view a project address in Google Maps) sends location or address data to that third-party app under its own privacy policy.
6. Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the App and fulfill the purposes in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law. You may delete media or project content within the App where those controls are available, or contact us to request deletion of data we hold on our servers.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you;
- Withdraw consent for optional processing;
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
To exercise these rights, email privacy@brixa.com. You can also revoke camera, photo, or microphone access anytime in iOS Settings or Android Settings.
9. International users
If you use the App outside your home country, your information may be processed in countries where we or our providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy at this URL and update the "Effective date" above. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
